The University of Nicosia has followed last year’s achievement of being the only private university in Cyprus to be awarded with a Silver Medal in Business Ethics Excellence with an even greater success – the Business Ethics Excellence (BEE) Gold Medal.

Following an arduous application process, meticulous documentation and a thorough on-site assessment, the University was ultimately recognized with the highest distinction, which is awarded by the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN).

Each year, the Network awards only a limited number of Business Ethics Excellence (BEE) Medals, to organizations that have distinguished themselves in the realm of business ethics. This year, the University of Nicosia was among a select number of other organizations to receive a BEE Medal, in recognition of having demonstrated sound Corporate Governance and multifaceted Corporate Social Responsibility.

Following on from this, the University of Nicosia remains the only private university in Cyprus to hold the Gold Medal certification in Business Ethics Excellence.

An official awards ceremony will take place this coming September 2011, where Dr. Melpo Iacovidou, Internal Quality Assurance Auditor, will accept the Gold Bee on behalf of the University.
